Someone Else's Path
2025-12-19
If you were in the void, wouldn’t you do it?
Restricting how you live by what others think is right. Living someone else’s path.
What do you do that you don’t want to, but do merely because not doing would be against someone’s view of right? Conversely, what do you want to do but don’t because of how another has it in a bad view?
It can be a person, a group, or the whole world. It’s all the same.
Have and use only your own view of what’s wrong and what isn’t. (A view that should grow and evolve with what you learn)
Anything that you don’t deem as wrong should not be used to restrict yourself just because of another’s view of it.
Don’t confuse it with kindness. Doing it purely for the sake of another, not out of kindness but out of fear or shame of what they would think.
Why limit yourself in such a silly way?
Blindly living life for another.
“I used to be so nervous at these things,” Wax said softly to Steris.
“When I was a kid. That was when I still cared about their opinions, I guess. Before I learned how much power over a situation you gain when you decide that you don’t care what others think of you.”
